Metal and Sap

This is one of my first oils. It shows flowers on a sill, placed in tins and simple vessels, seeking beauty in the everyday. I was already interested in natural light and how it affects colour and form, though I was still learning. It is a quiet work, made with patience, where I begin to find my way of looking and painting.
